A lot of better places in the area. Antique-clutter decor is fun to look at if you can get over the musty smell and need for a deep cleaning. Had all kinds of wait staff pass our table without taking our order or even acknowledging us. Had to take it upon ourselves to find a server. Food also took a while so don't be in a hurry. Husband liked the hashbrowns - tasted like they share the same grill as the burgers. Teenage daughter typically loves hashbrowns but didn't eat more than a few bites. I ordered a turkey and Swiss sandwich which is exactly what I got - apparently you have to ask - and pay extra - for a leaf of lettuce or swipe of mayo. Seriously??? I noticed around me that many other patrons left with a lot of food still on their plates. You don't usually see that! Bathroom was quite gross, table was sticky and stuffed gorilla hanging above our heads was full of dust. Could have been a fun place. Hope they read Yelp reviews and make some improvements.

Came in for a quick breakfast and decided to give this place a try despite the reviews. Wish I actually listened and took my money somewhere else.... Checked in, and even tho there was a line, were seated 10 min later. It took our waiteress longer to come by and get our order. Once we placed the order, we sat for good 20 min until our food came. Everything came out way too salty. We ordered the very basic breakfast with home made bread (which they charged $4.60 for 4 slices and were never told that it would be an extra charge). Our waitress came to our table total of 3 time so half of our dining experience was spent waiting and trying to get her attention. For an order of eggs, toast, bacon and hashbrowns we payed $25 for 2 people (tip not included). Never again will I visit this place. I'd reather go to a chain restaurant.

Good meal, needs a Robert Irvine intervention. Needs a good cleaning... Lots of interesting wall decor. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. Bathrooms need to be totally remodeled.

This is not the chain Denny 's. We find this out very fast when we walked in. We were here from out of state & not some place we will visit on or return visits. They were in no hurry to seat us. It took 20 minutes for us to even get our drinks. The only rush was for us to pay our check. The food was average & the services was below poor.

I have been to this diner on 2 occasions, the first time was terrible and decided to give them a second chance before reviewing. I wish I didn't. 2nd visit (most recent) We arrived with a party of 7 - 5 adults 2 children. the decor is great and very interesting and that is where the positive ends. It is a basic diner menu and that is was we were looking for however the food is also very basic. I could do better at home. I had the tuna sandwich with fries- I paid $.35 for Onion, lettuce, tomato and cheese to put on my sandwich, I get it for the cheese but not for the lettuce or onion. Most restaurants treat this as a garnish a free ingredients that most people eat on almost any type of sandwich. Not here. Fine. Then my moms eggs were fried almost hard, she ordered over-medium and the bacon was burned. The rest of the food was cooked fine but lacked flavor, and once all the up charges are accounted for, too expensive for the quality. Cash Only!! 1st visit- Party of 3 - We arrived at 11:15 they don't serve lunch until 11:30... And they take that VERY seriously. They wouldn't even make a salad. We ordered breakfast, already annoyed, the food tasted like crap. Over all I got the impression that they didn't care if we ate there or not...Okay so they have cool decorations, but the food is subpar, they charge extra for literally everything, and your customer service is to be desired. Eat somewhere else.

Heard great things about this place so decided to try it out. The decor was cool looked like a 50s diner but the booths and chairs and tables looked really gross and could have used a good cleaning so I was getting kinda nervous to eat food out. Of a kitchen that was probably just as dirty. Well I sat there for like five minutes and no one even knowledged our table. I'm a bartender so I under stand u can get backed up sometimes but it wasn't even busy and there was girls bussing tables instead of greeting us so we just walked out. Sorry dennys dinner but I'll pass.

Probably the most disgusting breakfast I've ever been served... Firstly I tried to order an omlet and asked for it to be made with whites only ( I don't like the yolks) and they informed my that "they don't do that" so I changed my order to eggs over medium so I could cut out the yolks and just eat the whites plus ham and toast. The eggs came over easy (which is not a big deal) but the ham that was served was square (square!!!) and burnt and super salty. Just gross. I ate about 2 bites. My husband who will pretty much eat anything tried it and could only choke down 2 bites before giving in. Just plain disgusting.

If you like over cooked food, with too much salt, served at excessive cost. Then this is just the mediocre breakfast place you have been looking for. Burnt toast, overdone eggs, over seasoned potatoes, an a world famous sweet roll that must be well know on Mars, are just a few momenuis offerings at this lack luster diner. Dusty stuffed animals and outdated seating is fitting of the aged diner theme. Coupled with bad food and high prices this place really is terrible. Skip it!

Very mom and pop style, old school decorated. We ate breakfast and enjoyed it. The toast and cinnamon rolls are homemade and delicious. The corn beef hash was amazing too. The prices are very fair. I would definitely go back. My only real complaint is they don't accept credit card, not a big inconvenience.

Love this place for various reasons. The Carmel rolls were absolutely heavenly. We also had breakfast there and it was excellent. I wanted to go back for lunch but they don't start serving it until 1130 and we were heading out of town. Definitely will go back here. Service was great, decor was interesting, good cup of coffee as well!

Terrible service, mediocre food at best... Dirty diner and rude service. I asked the waitress if I could have my cinnamon roll before the meal and then reminded her after waiting 15min and she said she would "do my best." The cinnamon roll never came.

Solid ham & cheddar omelet with hash browns. Took a little while to come out, I suspect because the kitchen was slammed. Server was on top of coffee refills.

If you're looking for Denny's (the chain), then you're at the wrong place. If you're looking for where the Dells, Lake Delton and Baraboo locals eat, then you've found what you're looking for. This is your basic, nostalgic diner. Eggs. Bacon. Cinnamon Rolls. They're all on the menu. The prices are fair for a tourist town and the portions are large. I ordered a bacon and cheese omelet. It came with hash browns and toast for $8.95. My wife had a mushroom and cheese omelet for the same price. My omelet didn't have bacon bits in it, it wasn't filled with a few chunks of bacon. The bacon was so heavily packed it was thick and chewy with bacon! I thoroughly enjoyed it. My wife said her omelet had more mushrooms than she's seen in a long time. The hashbrowns had a great taste to them, although they were a tad salty. Their grill is obviously well-seasoned. This place looks like it was built in the 1950s or 1960s, and the decor is the same. That's not a slam, just a statement. Lots of nostalgic signs hanging on the walls. Look, if you want your same crappy breakfast at Denny's (the chain), then by all means, go there. But if you want much better food for the same (or better) price, then head on over to this Denny's.

Food isn't very good and the worst service possible. Breakfast took 2 hrs. Wasn't even very busy. Every step of the dining process took 20min. Like getting the bill. Coming back with credit card.
